Where can I purchase OSMEN Outdoor Furniture?

What types of outdoor furniture do you feature?

At OSMEN we take pride in our commitment to provide our customers with only the finest quality of outdoor furniture. We feature a stunning collection of outside dining and seating essentials, as well as unique pieces such as our Hanging Egg chairs and our Fire Pits. Due to external exposure, our furniture is designed with highly durable and easily manageable materials such as: Sunbrella®, powder coated aluminium, synthetic wicker, and teak. We combine this with our sleek and modern design to give you the luxury of OSMEN.

Is your outdoor furniture only sold as sets?

Most of our furniture can either be purchased as a set or individually. Our dinning sets are able to be mixed and matched, but you will find the most value for your money when purchasing as a set. Please note that our sofas are only sold as sets.

Is everything on your website in your showroom as well?

No, our website has more items than our stores can display. However, some brand new products are only featured in our stores and are not yet posted on our website. Most of our stores display our core collection and a mix of other exciting items. We recommend calling your nearest store and asking whether the item is on display there.

How do I contact OSMEN if I have questions or concerns about the product, checkout process, or order I’ve placed?

Product

Can I leave my furniture outside?

Our products are designed to thrive in an outdoor environment. Regular cleaning and maintenance is recommended to maintain the quality and lifespan of your items. For further information please refer to our General Maintenance Guide

Does outdoor furniture rust?

Typically, not. Most of our products are made from rust-free aluminium. However, items such as our Hanging egg chairs’ base is made from powder coated steel which can rust if you scratch/damaged the coating. Please refer to our general maintenance guide to avoid this.

Are your cushions weather resistant?

Our cushions are water and weather resistant, not waterproof. We recommend bringing your cushions inside if you are experiencing adverse weather. Getting your cushions wet is okay, but please give them the opportunity to dry to avoid mould and mildew.

What is the advantage of using Sunbrella® fabrics?

Sunbrella® is the most recognised and highly regarded outdoor fabric. Its fibres are created with highly UV-stable pigments, making it resistant to fading, discolouring and the degrading effects of sunlight. All Sunbrella® fabrics are engineered to resist mould and mildew and stains. Should exposure to dirt and debris occur, it can easily and safely be cleaned with a diluted bleach.

Should I cover my outdoor furniture?

We strongly recommend it. Covering the furniture will help maintain its appearance, reduce the amount of maintenance needed, and help it last for longer periods.

Can I get my product personalized?

Unfortunately our personalisation services are currently unavailable.

Maintenance & Care

Furniture

  • Positioning your furniture under shade such as awnings, pergolas or umbrellas will maximise its life.

  • Dragging your furniture may result in damaging your furniture or flooring, please note that this is not covered under warranty. Never drag furniture, always carefully lift and move.

  • Scratching or denting whilst in use is part of the normal wear and tear and is not covered under manufacturer warranty

  • Please make sure you protect your furniture before you stack it as it may result in scratching/denting your furniture which is not covered under warranty.
  • Covering your furniture with a cover can help to lessen any damage caused by exposure to the elements. Furniture must be completely dry beforehand to avoid moulding and/or damage from moisture.

  • For self-assembled products, check periodically to re-tighten any fasteners

  • Always use your furniture in a proper way : 1) Don’t put too much unnecessary pressure on edges, handles, or arms. 2) Chairs, tables, and lounges must be placed on a relatively even surface to avoid damaging the furniture, and user injury

Fabric

  • Withstands rust and corrosion, but powder coated products are recommended for coastal areas where salt air and water are present.

  • Use a dedicated stainless steel cleaner for more stubborn stains carefully following the instructions on packaging.

  • Remove any cushions or covering before cleaning.

  • Clean using a mild detergent and warm water, make sure you rinse the surface thoroughly to prevent staining and spotting.

  • Towel dry to prevent spots from water minerals.

Stainless Steel

  • Withstands rust and corrosion, but powder coated products are recommended for coastal areas where salt air and water are present.

  • Use a dedicated stainless steel cleaner for more stubborn stains carefully following the instructions on packaging.

  • Remove any cushions or covering before cleaning.

  • Clean using a mild detergent and warm water, make sure you rinse the surface thoroughly to prevent staining and spotting.

  • Towel dry to prevent spots from water minerals.

Wicker 

  • Withstands rust and corrosion, but powder coated products are recommended for coastal areas where salt air and water are present.

  • Clean with warm, mildly soapy water. Rinse with clean, cold water. Dry thoroughly

  • Remove any cushions or coverings before cleaning

  • Do not use harsh or abrasive chemicals.

  • Do not use high-pressure hoses to clean as wicker is very lightweight.
  • We recommend using a Wicker Protector to block UV rays and maintain the product

Wood

  • Wood is prone to potential discolouring and cracking as it is a natural product

  • It can expand in humidity but will resort to its original form 

  • Colour maintenance is required with minimal oiling, untreated timber will patina into silver gray over time. Oiling your wood will also reduce minor cracking and splitting.

  • Clean with timber cleaning products and dry thoroughly, sand off persistent stains with high grit sandpaper if needed. Apply timber oil and shield afterwards.

  • Softwoods need constant protection when not in use as they vulnerable to the elements 

Umberlla

  • Do not leave umbrella open when unattended

  • When closed it should be securely strapped

  • If supplied, use the umbrella cover when closed.

  • Ensure the umbrella is securely fitted to the correct base.

  • Do not use the umbrella during strong winds or other inclement weather.

  • Damage from wind or weather is not covered in warranty. The warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects only

  • Use our set of Umbrella Weight Plates. These are available for purchase online and at the store that supplied your umbrella.

  • Cantilever umbrellas supplied with plastic bases must be weighted down with ballast. We recommend around 80-100kg worth of stones to be used as water will not weigh the base down adequately. 

Hanging Chair Maintenance 

  • All our Hanging chairs are made with steel as it can withstand the most weight

  • The stands of all our hanging chairs are made with powder coated steel. This coating prevents the material from being exposed to the environment and any potential corrosion. 

  • As the base makes direct contact with the ground, it is easy for the coating to get scratched and damaged over time. When the coating is gone, rust will start to develop.

  • OSMEN suggests to place a rug or insert a surface between the base and the ground.

  • Lift the stand from the floor when moving the hanging chair. Do not drag the stand across the floor. 

  • If the coating becomes damaged, you will need to either purchase a replacement base or to frequently use WD40 to remove the rust. 

  • Rust due to coating damage from misuse is not covered under the manufacturer warranty. 

  • The Hanging Egg chair is not a toy and should not be swung on. Please supervise children when they are using the chair

How much is shipping?

It depends on the items you are looking to purchase and your location.
Sydney Metro Delivery for items between: $0-$999. [$80]
Sydney Metro Delivery for items between: $1,000-$1,999 [$120]
Sydney Metro Delivery for items between: $2,000-$10,000  [$200]
Sydney Metro Delivery+ Assembly+ Package Removal for items between: $0-$999. [$120]
Sydney Metro Delivery+ Assembly +Package Removal for items between: $999-$1999. [$250]
**Sydney Metro Delivery+ Assembly +Package Removal for items between: $2000-$10000. [$400]

For customers living in the Melbourne Metro, Queensland Metro area and ACT, please refer to the appropriate Sydney Metro delivery guidelines and add an additional $150
*Please note that there are no assembly and package removal services available for interstate orders.


Can I pick up my order?

Yes! You may collect it from 134 Gipps Road, Smithfield NSW 2164 during our opening hours, Mon-Sat 10:00am – 4:00pm. Please note that you must schedule and book your pickup through our website or call 13009OSMEN.

How do I track my order?

You can either contact our friendly Service team at 13009OSMEN, send an email to service@osmen.com.au, or lodge a request on our website.

Can I pick my delivery date?
Unfortunately not, as delivery varies depending on the item and location of delivery. For more information, please refer to "Delivery & Pick Up Policy" or call us on 13009OSMEN

How long will it take to get my order?
In-stock items in the Sydney Metro area will take 7-14 business days to arrive. If you are inter-state please contact our Service team at 13009OSMEN. Please ask your sales assistant for items which are not in stock or pre-ordered.

What shipping carriers do you use?
We use a 3rd party to deliver our items.

Does OSMEN deliver to my area?
OSMEN delivers to Sydney Metro, Queensland Metro, Melbourne Metro and the ACT.

Do you ship overseas?
No

Can I return my product?
For online purchases only, If you decide to return your product within 30 days, the product and its packaging must be unused and undamaged. For in-store purchases we do not return items for change of mind. For all other queries please refer to our  Warranty and Return Policy.
What if my product is damaged on pickup or delivery?
Any damage at time of delivery needs to be reported within 42 hours of delivery. Report it to our Service team on: 13009OSMEN, serive@osmen.com.au or through our website. Any damages to the customers property must be reported with photographic evidence to support the damage and a claim will need to be submitted.

Warranty

What is the warranty on outdoor furniture?
Warranty periods vary from 1 – 5 years. Please refer to the warranty of your item as listed on the website.
